C2C2C was established in 2011 as a way to get more people cycling, raise some money for charity and have some fun.
C2C2C is a charity cycle ride across Lincolnshire. In the first year the ride was from Lincoln Castle to the coast and back to the castle but as numbers grew it became more difficult to ride safely into Lincoln.
There are 2 routes - 100 miles with 1000 metres of gentle climbing or 200km, which includes The Appendix (the pointless bit in the middle), and has 2000 metres of climbing.
Most people ride in teams and the size of your team is only limited by how many people you know/will ride with you!
Some people ride all of it, some ride in relay. Mountain bikes, the latest carbon fibre aero models, tandems, hire bikes, recumbents or a Brompton- it doesn't matter what you ride, so long as you power it yourself.
We have had many riders complete 100 miles for the first time on C2C2C so as long as you train (a bit) before the ride you will get back for a beer and BBQ. The more you train the better you will feel at the end of the ride.
Entry is via charitable donation of £30 per rider (plus £1.50 to cover the insurance cost per rider), and your team can be as big or small as you like (as this is an unsupported ride we recommend you ride in teams).
If you are unable to enter as a team enter anyway and you will find riders of similar speed to you to ride with on the day
If you also want to raise sponsorship from friends, colleagues, customers or suppliers, then you can either raise it for our chosen charities, or for a charity of your choice.
In 2018 the charities being supported are
International Bomber Command Memorial Centre
St Barnabas Hospice
Cycling without Age (Skegness)
More information on these charities can be found on the Charities page.
Please get in touch if you have a charity that you would like us to consider supporting in future years
